A healthy balanced diet is one of the key factors for learning and acquiring information. As a boarding school in England, King’s College Saint Michaels understands the importance that food plays in our pupils’ daily lives. This is why we work hard to ensure food is not only nutritional and tasty but offers them a little taste of home during their stay with us.
Each residence has its own kitchen area which comes well equipped with all the necessities for day to day life, including kettles, rice cookers, microwaves, fridges and ovens. This allows our students the flexibility to embrace their culinary skills and prepare their own food or snacks when they want.
Apart from the on-site facilities for self catering, the college provides daily hot meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner for all students, ensuring that they benefit from nutritious and healthy meals every day, including weekends.
Our dining room is the social hub of the school and we make it our duty to ensure a variety of foods are served. We frequently provide international dishes from one of the home countries of our pupils, which gives students a taste of home and helps to truly enhances our multicultural experience.
Our catering team strive to provide a varied yet balanced diet for our students. We cater for vegetarians and also provide Halal meal options. In order to keep the menu as varied as possible the team work on a three-week menu which means students don’t just eat the same food one week after the next.
