In the afternoons and evenings after classes a variety of activities and sports are organised on the campus. These include football, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, tennis, badminton, arts and crafts, swimming, discos, quiz evenings, ‘Slip and Slide’, Karaoke, Bouncy Castle, BBQ and many more! We employ plenty of staff in order to keep the programme as varied as possible and provide all the activities that students want to participate in. Our programme (downloadable via the link below) gives you a good sense of the activities on offer, however, each day popular sports and activities are done alongside these to keep everybody entertained.

On Wednesdays and Saturdays there are full-day excursions. These are to places such as London, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Manchester. Each excursion includes some free time as well as a cultural activity, e.g. a visit to Shakespeare’s birthplace or an organised tour of London. On Friday afternoons we have a half day excursion to a local town or city such as Hereford, Worcester, Ludlow etc or a trip to a local museum or place of interest. All entrance fees are included within the weekly fees and students are given information about each city in their classes before hand and on the bus in order to make the trip as interesting as possible. This also gives them even more opportunity to immerse themselves in the British culture and English language.

On a Sunday, we also offer a number of optional activities, which include ice-skating, horse riding, and trips to Drayton Manor Park (one of Britain’s best amusement parks). As these are optional activities there is a charge for students wishing to join them. We also offer students the choice of several excursions when visiting London if they have already visited the city. Some of these require an additional fee, however there are always a number of free activities available too.

On every trip, our staff are there to supervise any students under the age of 14. Unless permission is given by a parent, these children are accompanied for the entire trip by responsible and trusted adults. When supervised, students can still enjoy visiting all the shops and places of interest as older students.

Every week the school hosts popular events which bring every students together, giving them even more opportunities to communicate in English. Students are encouraged to participate in talent shows, fancy dress discos, mini world cups, Olympic days, pantomimes and the word famous ‘International Night’. These events are well organised by our staff and give every student the opportunity to show off their special talents and skills. Besides recruiting qualified staff with a keen passion for sports, we also bring professional performers and activity leaders in for sessions during the week at no extra cost to the student. These activities are both educational and enjoyable and are often the most highly anticipated events on the calendar. Students get the chance to participate in magic shows, get up close with exotic animals, learn magic tricks and create and paint souvenirs to take home.
