2017 A Level Results
We are delighted to be able to share with you some of the headlines from this year’s Year 13 academic results. Overall grades were:
|A* – E||95.5%||98.1%|
|A* – C||91%||80.2%|
Mrs Nicola Walker, Headteacher, commented ‘We are absolutely delighted with this year’s A Level results. It is testament to the hard work and dedication of our pupils that they achieve such fantastic results, often only a couple of years after arriving in the UK. Approximately half of our Year 13 cohort this year opted to study on our University Foundation programme as an alternative to the A level route and this has also proved very successful. Whatever route students opted for, their fantastic results will mean that the vast majority of pupils will be able to continue their education at one of the top universities in the UK and, in some cases, further afield. They will go on to study a range of demanding subjects including Computing, Business, Economics, Politics, Engineering, Media, Law and Finance. We wish them every success. I would also like to pay tribute to the dedication and professionalism of the teaching and support staff, without their efforts these results would not be possible’.
2017 GCSE Results
Congratulations to all our students on their fantastic GCSE results. Quite remarkably some of our students have achieved these results after only one year of study in the UK. All of our students should be proud of their achievements. Some highlights include Jasmin who will return to her studies in Germany with 6 A* grades, Frista, who returns from a lovely Summer in Albania to study A levels here having achieved 3A*, 3A and a C at GCSE and Leonardo who will return from his Summer in Brazil, also to start his A levels having gained an A*, 3A, 2B and a C grade at GCSE. A levels here at Kings College Saint Michaels continue to be in high demand and this GCSE success bodes well for those students starting their A level studies this September.
